Jain Food Mart (JFM) operates a medium sized supermarket. Though JFM sells almost everything, they are popular for fresh fruits, vegetables, kitchen essentials, Indian sweets and chats. The business is run as a partnership with four brothers. Their parents who founded the business have now retired but act as ‘sleeping partners’ providing additional capital as needed.

Though the customers have expressed 100 per cent satisfaction, profits have begun to decline as people prefer to buy online from big ecommerce and super markets like Home Essentials and A2Z Delivery. To become more competitive, JFM decided to introduce online order system and direct home delivery. Though all partners are not in favour of this move due to lack of knowledge in technology, this is the only way to retain loyal customers and increase sales revenue.
