Mr Sam, a store in-charge at Pick n Move a mini super market in Mumbai, India. His job involves supervision of other employees of the store, update inventory levels to the store’s manager and address customer queries relating to loyalty points, discounts, offers, etc.

He feels that he can do much more than this and discussed his decision to quit the store and start  his own business. He has listed possible business opportunities that he can think of like:

• Start his own mini super market near busy residential area.

• Take franchise of ‘Kitchen Needs’ a well-known super market.

• Take dealership of a well-known grocery supplier ‘Real Life’.

You as a business consultant, draft a business plan for one of the above opportunities.

Your plan should include the following.

• Name of business

• Slogan or tagline (if possible, design business logo)

• Capital requirements (business location Mumbai, India) and possible sources (financial

plans)

• Number of employees (HR plans)

• SWOT analysis ( 2 each)

• Marketing plans (how and where to promote)

• Any forecast profits?

• Any other points/plans you think appropriate.

  • Business plan contents (essential contents are present) 0-2 
  • Business plan content clarity, details and suitability 0-6
  • Presentation of the plan (Cover page, table of contents, page number, bibliography, format, creativity, etc.) 0-2
